Shabaan is an advocate of the high court of Tanzania and a holder of an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Dar es Salaam, he is also a member of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators.

He is one of the emerging Intellectual Property specialists within the country with a keen eye in corporate Intellectual Property Strategy, Prosecution of various IPs with particular focus on Trademarks, and industrial designs and their commercialization.

He is also an expert in Branding and corporate identity, the law and practice on sponsorships, ambassadorships and endorsement agreements as well as sport and competition law.
